You will get to stop by the famous Welcome to Batam monument and Batam Grand Mosque for photos, and indulge in a 5-course traditional Indonesian feast with grilled fish, signature fried chicken, local Indonesian favourites etc. A 2-hour (120-min) traditional Indonesian massage is also included to complete your Indonesian experience. You will also make a quick stop at a local bakery to sample freshly-made Indonesian layer cakes, also known as Kueh Lapis.

Make your own way (unless hotel pickup option is selected) to Singapore Harbourfront Centre ferry terminal for your high-speed public ferry to the Indonesian town of Batam. Relax in cool air-conditioned comfort during the 1-hour journey across the Singapore/Indonesia border.

Upon clearing immigration in Batam, your driver will wait at the ferry terminal arrival hall (with a Viator signboard) to pick you up and set off on an express trip around Batam, the largest city in the Riau Islands Province of Indonesia.
You will first stop by for a photostop of the Welcome to Batam monument.

You will pass by the Batam Grand Mosque to admire its unique pyramid-like roof, which is a piece of modern architecture seemingly ahead of time in this laid-back developing Indonesian town.

Your driver will bring you to one of the top licensed massage centre in Batam Nagoya district, where you can de-stress over a relaxing 2-hour traditional Indonesian massage. Complimentary refreshments before and after massage are provided for your convenience.
Please note: traditional Indonesian massage may not be suitable for children below 12 years of age. As such, children below 12 years of age will be served a cup of beverage while waiting beside their parents/guardian.

Duly refreshed, you will then tuck in to a 5-course traditional Indonesian feast at a traditional Indonesian kampung. This feast includes grilled fish, signature fried chicken, belacan kangkong vegetables, banana leaf wrapped rice, fruit dessert, as well as traditional Indonesian favourites such as salad in peanut sauce and fried corn/tempeh/tofu.

You will stop by a well-known local bakery (Secret Layer Cakes) to sample the famous Indonesian layer cakes, also affectionately known to the locals as Kueh Lapis.
Kueh Lapis is not difficult to make, but it requires time and a lot of patience. The bakers hover next to the oven for a couple of hours grilling each layer of batter. Kueh Lapis is typically served in small, thin, rich and fragrant slices.

After 4-5 hours in Batam, your driver will bring you back to the ferry terminal for your high-speed public ferry back to Singapore.
The ferry terminal is connected by a skybridge on the departure level to Megamall. If there is still time, you may pop into Megamall for everyday non-touristy items and snacks at local prices.
Please head back to the ferry terminal 30 minutes before ferry timing for boarding formalities.
